On the first day of your Golden Triangle adventure, arrive in Delhi, India’s vibrant capital. After your arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in and a short rest. In the afternoon, set off on a guided tour of Delhi’s key highlights, starting with a visit to India Gate, a majestic war memorial built in honor of Indian soldiers who died during World War I. Drive past the Parliament House and the Presidential Palace, iconic structures that represent the heart of India’s governance. Explore the Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Later, visit the Lotus Temple, a serene Bahá'à house of worship, and enjoy some quiet reflection. The second day in Delhi will take you deeper into the city’s history. Start with a visit to the Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site and an iconic symbol of the Mughal empire. Then, head to Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest and most beautiful mosques, and explore the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk, Delhi’s bustling market. Here, you’ll experience a rickshaw ride and soak in the vibrant atmosphere of the old city, with its street vendors and historical shops. In the afternoon, visit Humayun’s Tomb, a Mughal-era tomb that later inspired the construction of the Taj Mahal. Lastly, enjoy a peaceful evening at the Dilli Haat—an open-air market where you can shop for handicrafts, textiles, and jewelry from all over India. You’ll have the chance to try traditional foods and enjoy the local ambiance.
After breakfast, depart for Agra, home to one of the most famous monuments in the world, the Taj Mahal. Upon arrival, head directly to the Taj Mahal and marvel at this magnificent white marble mausoleum, which was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. After spending time exploring the Taj Mahal, visit Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site that was once the seat of the Mughal emperors. You’ll have the option to take an elephant ride up to the fort, where you can explore its opulent palaces, intricate architecture, and scenic courtyards. Afterward, drive back to Jaipur and visit the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a striking five-story structure with 953 small windows designed for the royal women to observe street life without being seen.
